Soul Art

I had been wanting to have peacocks and so my mom showed me how to do soul art.  We got crayons, markers and poster board from the store.  The next night, I started to draw my vision of my peacock business.  I started with the name of T&T Peacock businesses and then decided on the number of peacocks that I wanted.  I also decided on the products that I wanted to sale and how much I would make.  I then hung this up in my room and looked at it everyday.

A Dream Come True

About a week after I hung my soul art poster in my room, Dad came home with my DREAM!  Meet Romeo (peacock) and Juliet (peahen)!!

My Dad told me I had to take out trash but what was in the box was NOT TRASH!!!  He told me to bring the box to a dog kennel.  We sat the box inside the kennel and opened the lid and there they flew out of the box.  I screamed with excitment...a dream come true.  Those flew all around that kennel so we changed the name to Flying Feather Farms!

New Baby Peacock

I had been doing research on the computer about peacocks and found a picture of a white peacock.  I LOVED IT!  That night in my prayers, I asked God to give me a white peacock.  The next day, we had to go to Seadrift and I got to meet the man who my Dad bought my first peacocks from.  I had a great time feeding the animals and learning about peacocks.  We were about to leave when he said "Taylor I want to give you something."  He went into the pen with the babies and he pulled out a white baby peacock...my face lit up like a lightbulb!!  Peckadee is doing great and is happy in his new home!
